In view of the bilateral agreements, the Nationals of the following Countries may visit Rwanda without visa for a period up to 90 days: Singapore, USA, Germany, Tanzania, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Uganda, Mauritius, South Africa, Kenya, Great Britain, Sweden, Hong Kong and Burundi.
The average processing time of the visa application is 2 business days.
The applicant has to visit the Embassy in person to apply and receive the visa.
(Application via fax or e-mail will not be accepted.)
The visa fees must be paid in US dollar. This is a visa handling fee and is not refundable at anytime.
All documents must be in printed or clear hand-written English.
All documents must be prepared for each applicant.
The applicant must sign the application form personally to show that the information given on it is true and
False or misleading information or failure to provide important relevant information on an application form can be
reason for visa rejection.
Embassy staffs do not provide printing, copying, application-writing services.
For those who stay in Rwanda for more than 3 months must change their visa status at the Directorate General of
Immigration and Emigation office. As a required document, notarized Criminal Records Certificate (in English) may be submitted. The fee for notary is $25.
Please visit the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea for Consular Legalization before visiting the Embassy for notarization.
* For non-Korean visa applicants, it is required to attach a copy of Certificate of Alien Registration, a proof of employment in
Korea or other documents which prove their status in Korea.
You may apply a visa online at the website of the Directorate General of Immigration and Emigration
(www.migration.gov.rw) using the online Entry Facility.
Applicants are required to have a confirmed onward booking from Rwanda to a third country or other acceptable plans to depart Rwanda within 72 hours of arrival.
* Visa fee is US $30. It has to be paid at the point of entry.
